Yasmin Cama

Senior Director – Legal Affairs, India & South Asia

Yasmin Cama joined the Legal Department of the erstwhile Hoechst India Limited in September 1985 and was designated as Senior Director – Legal Affairs in March 2007.

A seasoned legal professional with over 39 years of experience, she has worked as in-house lawyer with Sanofi India and its predecessor companies for 33 years and specialized in most branches and areas of law, in particular Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions, Drug legislations, IPR, Litigation/Arbitration & Real Estate. She has been the key legal lead for major litigations, strategic projects, multiple mergers and acquisitions, divestments and demergers. She has been providing legal advice & legal support for documentation to multiple Sanofi entities/functions in India, including Industrial Affairs & Clinical Studies Unit. In addition, she oversees legal operations for Sanofi entities in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.Yasmin is also the Presiding Officer of the Internal Committee under the Sexual Harassment legislation.

She started her career with the leading law firm, Crawford Bayley, where she specialized in company law, mergers, equity issues, joint ventures and foreign collaborations.

Yasmin is a graduate in Arts (majoring in English Literature & French) and holds a Master’s degree in Law from Mumbai University.
