Senior Director – Legal Affairs, India & South Asia

Vinita joined the Legal Department of Sanofi in August 2019.

With over 14 years of experience, she has advised on corporate commercial matters, mergers & acquisitions, IPR laws, employment laws, data privacy, anti-trust, matters involving ethics & compliance issues, litigation/arbitration management, real estate and various legislations pertinent to the pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries. She is responsible for providing advisory and support for documentation to multiple Sanofi entities/functions in India. In addition, she oversees legal operations for Sanofi entities in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

During her career, she has worked at leading law firms such as Remfry & Sagar and Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co. whereafter she has spent significant time setting up, leading and managing legal teams during her in-house roles at Huntsman International (India) Pvt. Ltd. and Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. She has held various other leadership roles during her in-house stints including serving on the Board of Directors and the Leadership Team for Huntsman India, leading or being part of the Compliance Committee, the CSR Committee and the Sexual Harassment Committees at Huntsman and Glenmark and she has strong experience in managing ethics & compliance trainings and investigations.

Vinita is a B.A. L.L.B. (Hons) graduate of NUJS, Kolkata.
