General Manager – Specialty Care, India

Anil joined Genzyme as Director (New Product Planning) in 2007, as a founding member of the US based biotechnology company’s operations in India and South Asia. In 2011, following the merger of Genzyme into Sanofi, Anil became a part of the Sanofi team in India.

Over the years, Anil held a variety of leadership roles in Sanofi Genzyme and led the launch of some of the key specialty care brands in the Sanofi India portfolio today, besides pioneering the development of the rare disease portfolio in India as well as market expansion for the Genzyme portfolio in South Asia.

Prior to joining Genzyme, Anil worked in Escorts Tractors Ltd., Larsen & Toubro, Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd & Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd., spanning manufacturing, sourcing, business development and planning, and sales & marketing.

Anil is a mechanical engineer from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra and an MBA in International Business from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi.
